Model Access
- ChatGPT Plus includes GPT-6, legacy models, and Codex access for software development. Context window is 54K tokens on GPT Instant and 256K on GPT Reasoning.
- Google AI Plus provides the Gemini Flash model (no Pro model), video generation, Deep Research and 200 Google Flow credits. Context window size is not explicitly published in the pricing card.
OpenAI’s Thinking model gives ChatGPT Plus an advantage for complex multi-step reasoning tasks. Google AI Plus’s video and image generation makes it more capable for creative and visual workflows, though it does not include Google’s Pro model or Gemini 4 Argon.
Usage Limits
- ChatGPT Plus: Dynamic message caps with “unlimited*” chat interactions and optional flexible credit top-ups for Codex after included limits.
- Google AI Plus: 2x the standard (free) limits. Your limit refreshes every 5 hours until you reach a weekly limit, and you can extend it by buying AI credits. Limits depend on prompt complexity, features used and chat length.
Both plans have variable limits. Google AI Plus states its multiplier (2x standard) and its 5-hour and weekly structure, but not a fixed message count. ChatGPT Plus’s caps are less published, limits adjust based on system conditions.
Who Should Choose Each
Choose ChatGPT Plus if you:
- Need Codex access for integrated software development workflows
- Rely on GPT-6 for complex reasoning and problem-solving
